Strawberry Moon Meditation
Time & Location
About The Event
The Full Moon in June has come to be known as the Strawberry Moon. That's because in North America, the name comes from Algonquin tribes of Native Americans. This full moon was their sign to harvest wild strawberries, says the Old Farmer's Almanac.
On this evening we will gather in community to join in a seated meditation chanting Om 108 times. The mantra, or vibration, derives from Hinduism, Buddhism, and Jainism and is considered to have high spiritual and creative power. When chanted Om vibrates at the frequency of 432 Hz – the same vibrational frequency found in all things throughout nature. Om is a very simple sound with a complex meaning and said to carry the entire universe.
We will then come to remain seated or lay down while the Gong releases any tension and blocks still remaining in the body. The Gong will assist in activating the parasympathetic nervous system to balance out the over-amped and over-taxed sympathetic nervous system.
dōTerra Essential Oils will be diffused in the space on this evening. Hot towels and sugar scrubs will be offered to go back into the world fully rejuvenated and refreshed.
